The results of a FUDTA survey on Apr. 12 determined that Irvington will be adding a third FLEX day on Tuesdays starting the 2020-2021 school year. The new FLEX period, however, will be the same length as a regular advisory.

The FUSD Board of Education has partnered with Leadership Associates to search for a new superintendent following Kim Wallace’s resignation. The Board Trustees each described qualities they’d like to see in the candidates, as well as debated whether or not to include community input. The Board’s goal is to create a job description by May 6 and hold interviews by the end of June.

FUSD Board of Education continues to work with adminstrators, counselors, and teachers to provide credit recovery program options for the current school year. Potential platforms as of now include APEX and Edgenuity for online schooling.
