On September 6th, Irvington played their preseason rival, Moreau Catholic High School. Although last year Irvington’s varsity team lost to Moreau in 5 games, the players shockingly took Moreau down in 3 intense matches. The scores were 25-18, 25-23, and 25-22. No one, not even the coaches, expected to win in 3 games. They knew that they had to work hard, because they loss of important seniors from the year before and also that they were ranked lower than Moreau. You can tell the Vikings are hungry for another MVAL championship based on how hard they are working together.
