“Poetry”

Caitlin Chen, Editor-in-Chief

Anything can be a poem

If you write it like this

You just need

Sudden, unnecessary

Breaks

If when one reads a poem and only

Pauses where there is punctuation,

Then why dothn’t the “poet” simply writeth

The whole damn thing

As a normal paragraph?

It also doesn’t make sense that

One can write about walking

Along a forest path

Or about seeing fog or snowflakes or rain

Or any other types of precipitation

And be legally able to call it a poem

Just because

One knows how to press

Enter

or fails to

capitalize

stuff

Only poems that rhyme

Should be classified as poems

Everything else

Is just

Stupid
