Super Bowl LVI Predictions
On Sunday, February 13, 2022, the Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Rams will face off in the biggest football game of the season, the Super Bowl. The battle of the Vince Lombardi Trophy will be a highly contested affair. Will the Bengals come out on top for the first time in franchise history, or will the Rams complete a Cinderella season and top it off with the trophy?. Here are my predictions for what’s going to happen this Sunday.
Winner: The Cincinnati Bengals. Joe Burrow, at this point, is more swagger than man. He sauntered his way to the big game, and expect him to strut off with the Lombardi. The Bengals have an outstanding wide receiver corps in Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Tyler Boyd. They have an ice-in-his-veins kicker in Evan McPherson, who sent them to the AFC championship, and the Super Bowl with two ridiculously clutch kicks against the Titans and the Chiefs. The only real weakness that the Bengals have is their offensive line, which allowed a ridiculous nine sacks on Burrow when they were playing the Titans. But if you watched the Chiefs game, you know Burrow can run his way out of a mess, and expect him to use short quick passes to running back Joe Mixon to reduce the effect of the Rams’ amazing defense.
Super Bowl MVP: Joe Burrow. How many more times do you want me to tell you how good Joe Burrow is? This is essentially his debut season, and he’s led the Bengals, the former league basement dwellers, to the Super Bowl. We’ve seen how talented he is throughout these playoffs, he got sacked nine times and still won the game. Absolutely ridiculous. Get ready to hand the Super Bowl MVP to Joe Burrow, once the Bengals win it all.
The Best Player on the Rams in the game: Cooper Kupp.. But don’t expect the Rams to go away quietly. Cooper Kupp is Offensive Player of the Year and undoubtedly the best slot receiver in the NFL. He’s broken more records than fingers I have on my hand. He’s one of the most skilled catchers we’ve seen in the league, and his ridiculous yardage leads me to believe he will feast on the Bengals on Sunday. But in the end, the Joe Burrow magic should be enough to put the Rams away.
The final score: 27-24. This is going to be a relatively high-scoring game. After all, look at all the stars in the biggest game this year. We have Aaron Donald of the Rams, the best defender in the league. One of the best offensive players in Cooper Kupp of the Rams. One of the best wide receivers in the Bengals’ Chase and of course, the Rams’ Odell Beckham Jr. And finally, two of the best quarterbacks in the game in Stafford and Burrow. It’s going to be a helluva game.
Overall, I think the Bengals are going to win this game and finally bring a Lombardi Trophy to Cincinnati, which desperately needs one. And, no, I’m not salty about the Rams beating the Niners. Not at all.
