Tarunya Dharnarajan (9) is an ENTJ-T.

My name is Tarunya. I’m a ninth-grader at Irvington High School. Although I’ve never taken the MBTI 16-personalities quiz before, I heard that sometimes it’s accurate and fits the personalities of people who take it, but other times it isn’t. A lot of my friends have taken the test, so I’m familiar with it.

I think I’ll probably get a sort of extroverted personality. I’m honestly not sure what the personalities are, but I’m thinking hopefully I get something that’s outgoing and chill.

After Taking the 16 Personalities Quiz

I found out I’m an ENTJ-T, I’m more extroverted than introverted; my energy is more intuitive than observant. I’m more judging than I am prospecting, more turbulent than I am assertive. People with my personality type embody the gifts of charisma and confidence and project authority in a way that draws crowds together behind a common goal. However, commanders are also characterized by an often ruthless level of rationality, using their drive and determination, and sharp minds to achieve whatever they’ve set for themselves.

I’m interested in debate and anything humanities-related, such as politics, and doing things to help the environment. I enjoy talking about social issues in general–whether it’s environmental issues or just general injustices in society, a lot of people don’t talk about it, which is weird because it is important to talk about those things. So if that conversation does come up with my friends, yes, I would engage in it which is my answer.

I use a lot of organizing tools such as schedules and lists. Not only do I use my planner, but I also use my calendar a lot to remember meetings and classes, and stuff. It definitely has been a very effective strategy as it helps me remember everything and I don’t have to keep everything in my head. But in the case that something comes up, I am ready to change my plans. This way, I’m ready to adapt if I need to, but also have the planner as a fallback.

I want to close my freshman year off with a good end to it–feeling satisfied with everything and having no regrets about this year. It’s been a great year–Sure, There were some weird things coming to school for the first time–the school is huge and there’s so much work–but I feel it’s all been good.

I think the test is accurate in the sense that I do occasionally take leadership positions–not all the time, I pick my battles, as in which ones I actually want to put my work into. There were also some things about how  ENTJ-Ts are insensitive towards people and how they don’t really talk to other people about their feelings. I’m not sure if that’s true to the full severity that they said it. It depends–again–on who it is. And usually, I am the type of person to be sensitive. I have a hard time cutting people off or things like that. So that part I’m not so sure.

I really want to be a powerful speaker like Franklin D. Roosevelt. I think that would really suit me honestly because again, I’m a debater, it’s really what I enjoy doing so I think I would be pretty happy if I became a lawyer, or something else close to what they do.
