Homecoming Court Top 4: Kenny Luu
“My homecoming experience this year has been really fun. I’ve dressed up for all the spirit days, and I’m really impressed with what our classes have been able to do for decorations. This has been one of the more fun years, maybe because I’m a senior and am heavily involved in school activities.
I’m really happy I won top 4 because it means I’ve made some sort of positive impact on the Irvington community. I do my best to help out whoever: I’m a Link Leader so I do like to help out my freshmen. Because I’m a drum major section leader, I love to help out my little band kids.I’ve also been involved in Resonance, our school’s music club, where I’m a Vice President, and in varsity baseball, where I’m a midfielder.
I decided to run for homecoming court because my sisters thought it would be a funny idea. All of the candidates are different in our own ways – all of our activities, hobbies, whatever we do are unique. I don’t know what makes me different, as I’m one of seven band kids in homecoming court. but I’m so grateful for all the support I’ve gotten. It makes me feel good inside because when people vote for me, it means that they like me.
Overall, I’m looking forward to a whole lot of fun and a whole lot of memories with my friends.”
