“Dance has been one of my passions for the past ten years, and through my experiences in leading dance groups, I’ve gained valuable leadership skills. I served as head of Class Dance for two years, and I had a really enjoyable time. Since I’m in Class Council, I also organized Lip Sync and participated in events like Bench. I always make sure everyone has a fun and memorable experience, and that’s exactly what I want to bring to junior year, especially knowing it will come with its challenges. The relationships I’ve built with everyone, especially those in dance, have shown me how teamwork can make a real difference, and I’m eager to use those experiences to contribute to our class.

One of the biggest challenges for next year will be fundraising, especially with Junior Prom coming up. We did not fundraise much this year beyond supplies for Bench, which didn’t require much. I know raising money will be an important part of our work next year, but I believe we can increase revenue through more engaging events, like Chipotle bonding fundraisers. I’ve noticed that the people who don’t participate in these activities often don’t know much about what’s going on. One of the ideas I thought of while campaigning was to show juniors these events to clear up any miscommunication and allow them to have fun with their friends. 

I really value communication in leadership because it gives everyone a chance to grow individually and be a part of something bigger. Class Council offers an opportunity to explore different passions, and by communicating and allowing people to see what they’re interested in, we can ensure everyone knows what they need to do and have fun while doing it.

I’m excited to work alongside Jorell. He always makes sure you have the support you need to keep going, and I like that he always hypes everyone up with his passion. 

Class officers play an important role in making sure our year is enjoyable. We put a lot of effort into creating an exciting and welcoming environment for events like Homecoming and Junior Prom. I’ve had amazing experiences like choreographing for Class Dance, Lip Sync, and participating in All-Nighter. I’m really looking forward to continuing these opportunities next year as a junior.”
