“I’ve always been surrounded by amazing people, especially my brother Jayden, who has been my biggest inspiration. Watching him serve as a rally commissioner inspired me to do the same. I want to leave a lasting impact on Irvington by the end of my high school years, just as he did. My friend Jay, a current class officer, encouraged me to run even though I initially doubted it since this was only my first year in Class Council. But because I really wanted to do it, I decided to go for it.
Some might wonder why I was elected to be next year’s junior class officer. They might point out that I wasn’t there during freshman year or that I wasn’t involved in ASB at Horner, but I’ve worked incredibly hard to get to this point. I’m very passionate and enthusiastic, so I always give my best in everything I do. I’ve put a lot of effort into Class Council, and I hope that my dedication shows they made the right choice by placing me in the role of junior class officer. I’m ready to put in the work and fully commit to it.
I’m especially excited to be a part of ASG next year because many of my friends applied, and I also get to work alongside my co-class officer, Diya. Out of all the candidates, I really wanted her to be my partner because we’ve worked together on Bench and Lip Sync, and I admire her choreography skills and strong work ethic. I’m also looking forward to HOCO Week and Lip Sync. Even if I have to grind through All-Nighters, I know it will all be worth it. There’s nothing more satisfying than seeing your hard work succeed.
I want to encourage everyone to participate in events and discover their own passion. I never considered leadership before, but after joining Class Council, I realized how much I wanted to do more. I want to show other students just how fun and rewarding it can be.
There’s only four years of high school, and as Jayden always reminds me, I need to make the most of it. Getting more involved and having these experiences is life-changing, and I’m excited for what next year holds. I’m grateful for this opportunity, and I’ll do my best to meet everyone’s expectations. I won’t let you down.”
