In AP Biology, we learn that only the strongest survive the wild. The greatest and fastest way to evolve is to eliminate those who can not. In all honesty, why do I have to wait an extra minute at a red light when I can count on my fast reflexes? Why should I wait while you try to parallel park? In a world moving forward at alarming speed and with cars that can drive themselves, why are we still obeying traffic laws? It’s time for survival of the fittest.
First and foremost, I am absolutely NOT staying in my own lane, and you shouldn’t either. I’m not arguing that everyone needs to go out of their way to hit one another – this isn’t bumper cars – we simply just don’t need so many pesky rules anymore. And don’t get me started on left turns! If there’s space and time, I’m going. Plus, if another pesky driver decides to cut you off, hit triple digits, and then cut THEM off! It simply gives the metaphorical cat and mouse another layer!
Not to mention, a removal of rules would cut out insurance! Who wants to spend that much money insuring a car? Without rules, we simply hit the gas and hope for the best. No more bad drivers and no overpriced problems. Just the open road and those with the reflexes for it.
Additionally, there would be no need to get anywhere early! With almost every spot on the street free and no lines in the parking lots, we would have so much more space as a civilization. It takes a truly skilled driver to slide between 2 other cars with no scratches and still somehow get out of the car!
Finally, this take simply goes back to all our animalistic original skills. Intuition to just KNOW when another driver is going to turn or cut you off. Cheetah-like swerving and correcting reflexes and the precision of a diving eagle when going to park. The pure elephant-like contact your foot has with the gas and breaks. And who needs coffee anymore? The pure adrenaline that courses through the body as you race to survive is more than enough to wake you for the day.
Now I know people are going to give their personal opinion, but here is the answer to negate all negations. Are traffic laws keeping you safe, or are they keeping you silent?
