The Student Internship Network Arrives
The Student Internship Network, abbreviated as SIN, hosted its very first event, “Medical Meeting,” on January 15th 2012 at 7:00pm in Excel Test Preparation Center. SIN is a student-run organization dedicated to educating middle school and high school students of the community about well-known professions in fields like medicine, business, and law.
“Medical Meeting was an event designed to help students and their parents learn about the various professions in the medicine and health industry. SIN had a panelist of three medical professionals, a doctor, a dentist, and a registered nurse, come to the event to talk about their respective professions. This was followed by a one-hour question and answer session, which allowed the audience to ask additional questions.
SIN is a relatively new non-profit organization dedicated to “organizing community events in which real professionals inform students and parents about different career paths. We connect students to professionals via internships, volunteer opportunities and more.” To learn more about SIN, visit thesin.org
