Ugh, life can be so unfair, right? Okay, just to make sure we have one thing clear, I am definitely NOT a hater. I support all people no matter what, blah blah, world peace, and all that. For context, I (18F) and my best friend (18F) have been in a fight ever since college decisions rolled out in March.
I actually deserve to go to THE top school in the country, — no, in the universe — and people have been saying some of the things I’ve been doing are questionable. Can you believe it?
Anyway, here’s the backstory: my best friend, let’s call her “Backstabbing Traitor,” got into my dream school and I, for some reason, didn’t end up making the cut. Instead of declining her offer like a normal, loyal person, she told me that she’s actually going to go! I literally told her that breaks the girl code because I liked that college first, but she told me I was being toxic. the only toxicity I see is the fumes from her twenty pounds of makeup.
Of course, I ended up emailing the office of admissions to let them know they had severely misjudged her character. Apparently, her 10,000 volunteer hours did nothing to soften her selfish, rotten heart. I may have slightly exaggerated when I told them about all the times she cheated on the chemistry tests. To be fair, I actually don’t think she’s ever told me she cheated, but I’m probably not far off the mark. Everyone has cheated at something at some point in their life, so I’m not even lying. I also might have mentioned that she’s one of those Disney bullies who shoves kids into lockers and that she caused a lab explosion that cost the school thousands of dollars.
I can’t wait for my appeal to go through; I have a really good feeling about this one! It’s almost like I can see the acceptance letter in front of me. And even if I don’t end up getting in, (which probably won’t happen) at least she won’t get to go!
And for anyone sitting on their high horse at home, you are not as morally superior as you think. I promise you that you would have done the same thing in my situation. You don’t know what it’s like to endlessly scroll through discussion threads and rewrite a billion drafts of the same supplement. It’s enough to make anyone just…
Snap.
So, I guess my best friend messed with the wrong girl. After all the work I’ve put in, that college is my destiny. But, it’s not my fault that karma got her; unfortunately, that’s what happens when you mess with the universe. See you guys when I apply for med school!
