We go to school for three periods here in the morning. I take a different class than the rest of my classmates for third period, but otherwise, I’m in the same classes as the other seniors. The one difference for me is that I take AP Literature instead of English 12. After those three periods, we head back for lunch and take the other classes at the School of the Blind. The academic classes, which we need for basic credits, such as Science, English, History, and Government, we take in Irvington. Then the electives and other classes we take at CSB (California School of the Blind).
We leave the dorms in CSB at 7:30 a.m., and we drive here so we can get breakfast. We stay at Irvington for the first few classes, and then leave around lunchtime. Sometimes we eat lunch at Irvington, but it depends on the day.
At CSB I take art classes and other classes that are not required, as well as PE. All the other classes we take are one off classes that we do once a week. At Irvington, I used to do D&D. Outside of school, I am part of a band that does various gigs. Some of the other students are also in the band, and I do the singing. I originally tried to join the drama club, but there were a lot of details regarding transportation.
Irvington is pretty accommodating. There sometimes are some issues with timed tests, especially in the higher level classes, as we are not supposed to be timed on any of the tests, but it is not a huge issue.
