Kelsey Ichikawa is a senior, and this is her second year on the Voice staff. Last year, she was the Features apprentice, so she’s excited to bring creative ideas to Volume 23’s Features section. She enjoys reading the classics, studying science, banging her head against lateral thinking puzzles, and writing creatively. If you approach her in the hallway, she might drag you into a philosophical discussion, especially if she’s with Arya. Ever since her freshman year, she’s been heavily involved with Irvington’s speech team and has given speeches about everything from doctors to automobile accidents to Mulan. She’s a big fan of “Sherlock” and “The Lord of the Rings”, as well as standing in the pouring rain. Her future dreams include careers in the engineering, novelist, and non-profit fields. She is also fun-sized (read: under five feet tall).
