My name is Sophia Luo. The person who inspired me to write creatively was my brother. He started writing in elementary school, and I looked up to him, so I started trying to write my own work as well. 

I like to write about my cultural identity, especially Chinese mythology and traditions. One piece that resonates with me a lot is a poem by my best friend called God, Immortal, which is also inspired by Chinese mythology. I like reading or watch things that spark my curiosity, which inspires me to write.

I hope that when people read my writing, they feel inspired to take action in their own lives. Whenever I write, I try to dedicate time to improving my skills, even if I’m not perfect at it yet.

I’ve experienced writer’s block, too, but I find that reading more poetry or searching for inspiration for my next piece helps me overcome it. I know my creative writing is not the best currently, but I like to just keep improving. Honestly, for the future, I’d like to keep writing and learning new skills along the way.
