All-State Honor Band Spotlight
Interview with Senior Patric Ho
Senior Patric Ho was one of four students from Irvington to make it into the All-State Honor Band.
“I didn’t expect to get in,” said Patric. “So I was pretty excited and happy about it.
Patric has been playing the clarinet for seven years now and has been taking private lessons since he started. He practices about thirty minutes to one hour every day.
“I really enjoy playing new and interesting pieces of music,” said Patric. “It’s fun and rewarding.”
This is not the first time Patric has achieved something memorable in his clarinet playing career. In addition to making All-Northern Honor Band this year, Patric also made district band his sophomore and freshman years.
Aside from the flute, Patric also plays the piano and has achieved the Certificate of Merit: Advanced Level (10). Patric has played the piano for ten years and continues to practice today.
Besides playing clarinet, Patric is also interested in photography. After high school, he plans to continue playing the clarinet in college.
