On January 11, 2026 the Golden Globe awards took place in Beverly Hills, California. Irvington High School was proud to announce the nomination and victory of our alum, Gee Pittee. Pittee claims his experience with pressure from Irvington academics while founding and maintaining Irvington’s first AI Prompt Engineering Club helped him build up the work ethic to bring this masterpiece into fruition.
“This film is the culmination of my being. I’ve poured my heart and soul out into it,” Pitee stated. Later in his acceptance speech, he aimed to encourage all aspiring filmmakers by citing his humble beginnings, as “all you need is a vision and enough adjectives to describe it”.
While the movie itself has no recognizable narrative structure, viewers are immediately drawn into a fantastical version of Irvington High School, featuring loudly arguing school supplies, underwater classrooms, and a distinct lack of temporal consistency.
With an average shot length of 6.7 seconds, critic Cantpay Attention noted that “It felt like cinematic doomscrolling,” and had to watch the film twice on 2x speed to truly understand its depth.
However the movie has garnered significant controversy due to its copious usage of interviews from deceased historical figures. Appearances include Elvis Presley, Mother Teresa, and Abraham Lincoln. Pittee defended this brief moment of AI usage in the creation of the film, claiming that the choice was made to reflect the nature of Irvington High School across as many time periods as possible. After pressure from critics, Pittee added,“I think everyone found it relatable when Lincoln said our campus is reminiscent of the Civil War.”
Despite this controversy and the chaotic storytelling, critics widely praised the film’s bold artistic vision and its groundbreaking usage of AI “camerawork” and rapid-cut editing.
Alas, many pointed out that there was one glaring flaw: “The only real issue,” Didnt Watchit wrote on their SubStack, Reels and Other Modern Art Forms, “is the egregious watermark covering almost half the screen in every scene.”
As the lights dimmed and the orchestra quieted, Pittee approached the edge of the stage to receive his award. Witnesses claim to have seen Pittee typing “acceptance speech emotional thankful beautiful grateful heartfelt but tuff with aura for movie award” into ChatGPT prior to his speech, although Pittee maintains that the delivery and content were both “straight from the heart”.
Industry experts have since speculated a turning point within the film industry: a future where ownership is subjective, coherence is dubious, and meaning can be crowdsourced post-production. In response, Irvington’s AI Prompt Engineering Club has planned to expand operations into musicals due to unprecedented artistic output and a rise in students describing their homework as “experimental”.
Concluding his speech, Pittee stated that he’s “already been thinking about adjectives to describe the next movie” along with a belief that it would be just as fantastical as the first
