chroniacllyabsent_41 have any of ygs seen the admin report on mold (on parentsquare) i tried to find it now but it appears to be deleted… i dont remember the exact details but it was about how a new sort of mold was found
concerened_fremontmom Oh my, I saw that too. My kid (9th grade) came home with a runny nose, excessive sneezing, and other symptoms, which might be linked to this mold issue. Has any other parent seen this?
proudteslaowner my son was sick all week…
i_have_a_cybertruck It’s flu season. You all are paranoid.
troublemaker_6767 wait I was in class of ‘17 and there was a rumor circulating my senior year that the ap bio class created mold by accident and then didn’t dispose of it properly, so it might have gotten unleashed? It was rly weird but there was no proof.
missionpeakaddict I worked as a student teacher during that time at Irvington. I always had a weird feeling about that rumor… I was getting more sick and I thought it was just the extreme weather changes and increasing stress, but thinking about it now it might make sense. I also heard (just a rumor) that the mold was on purpose to get revenge over getting saturday detention for one tardy. lol. Anyways left that school and much happier now 😀
involved_parent my oldest son had this problem last year too and he fell really ill. I heard they’re starting demolition & constructing new building so hopefully other kids wont go through this
Community note – powered by VoiceAI: The community is discussing a mysterious “mold” that some users claimed was causing their children’s illness. Others described a rumor that traced its origins to 2017, where a user suggested a student released it voluntarily. However, there is no proof to either of these rumors, and it is suggested for viewers to fact-check all information.
